Couples Counseling


We know that relationship health impacts physical and emotional wellbeing, and we focus on equipping couples with communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, reinforcement of positive behaviors, and a healthy balance of partner expectations. 

All couples’ relationships will face degrees of uncertainty, difficulty, and conflict, and obstacles will vary by couple.  A couple’s ability to contend with challenges is an excellent predictor of relationship health.

Factors of everyday life can put significant strain on a relationship.  Stressors may include:

  • Changes in family dynamics
  • Career transitions
  • Communication challenges
  • Intimacy issues
  • Betrayal of trust 
  • Grief and loss
  • Illness

We explore ways to repair and enhance understanding around small concerns and significant issues. We use research-supported principles to help couples foster insight, alleviate frustrations, and establish effective communication patterns.
